Median installations of Armorwire - a benefit in emergency situations

A recent session for a group of New Zealand Transport Agency staff, contractors and the New Zealand Police - facilitated by Will Young, Regional Sales Engineer, Central for CSP – has demonstrated how CSP’s Armorwire Wire Rope Barrier system - when installed in a median application - can be used to create openings in the barrier when required.

“The Armorwire Wire Rope system can be used in emergency or maintenance situations by dropping the wire rope to the ground - loose enough so traffic can drive over it - and removing the required number of posts to allow vehicles to cross the median,” explains Will. “We used the installation at Ngaruawahia on the Waikato Expressway to show how the wire rope can be easily ‘dropped’ and reinstated. Not everyone is aware that the system has this added advantage so we thought we would demonstrate it first hand.”
