Ritherdon Atlas Retention Socket

The Ritherdon Atlas Retention Socket is a stainless-steel secure foundation system that makes it easy to remove and replace a pole (traffic pole or lighting pole) without excavation and can be used in conjunction with CSP’s range of Traffic Poles. The Ritherdon Atlas Retention Socket system is designed to firmly secure a pole within the ground, while also allowing it to be replaced when required.

The ease and speed with which the Ritherdon Atlas Retention Socket allows poles to be replaced can drastically reduce maintenance costs, will have the least impact on traffic and reduce downtime in busy traffic signal intersections.

The Ritherdon Atlas Retention Socket also has an isometric clamping mechanism which exerts equal pressure right around the pole, creating a tight grip without damaging the surface coating or distorting the column installed within the socket. The superior grip of the Atlas clamp (tested to a torque of 2.24 kNm on a 168 mm diameter column) prevents pole rotation in high wind locations. It is also designed to remain in the ground undamaged, following a knockdown of the pole.
